FILLING UP YOUR WELL!
Well-Being is at the core of everything in life. When you feel well, you interact with the people in your life from a place of love, caring, and giving. You're an encourager and an uplifter. You allow others to shine.
When you don't feel well, you present yourself very differently to the world. You are guarded and wary. You become defensive or even aggressive. You cannot truly care for anyone else because you are focused on survival and self-preservation.
WELL-BEING vs HEALTH
Health is an important part of Well-Being. It tends to focus on the physical aspects of our being - exercise and diet have traditionally been the first areas people make changes when wanting to improve health. And forming beneficial habits around food and movement are certainly important. But Well-Being is about all of you - physical, mental/emotional, and spiritual.
Allopathic or Western medicine typically deals with health rather than well-being. And the focus tends to be very disease or symptom oriented. Even when prevention is highlighted, it is done with the underlying sense that somewhere out there in the future lurks an illness, and you must live a certain way or do specific things to avoid it.
WHERE THOUGHT GOES, ENERGY FOLLOWS
This ancient principle from Chinese medicine is being supported today by the science of epigenetics, which finds that our biological processes are influenced by our thoughts and perceptions. You could be sitting on the beach with no threat of danger anywhere near you, but if, in your mind you were remembering being chased by a mugger, your cells would respond to your thoughts - releasing stress hormones, pulling resources away from digestive and reproductive functions in order to provide more support to your heart, lungs, and limbs so you'll be better able to survive the threat . . . which isn't real.
Your body responds both to your environment and your thoughts. So if you are constantly focused on a possible illness in the future, even if you give your body proper exercise and nutrition, in your mind, you are still preparing for the disease.
FOCUS ON WELL-BEING
"Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better." - Maya Angelou
This wonderful statement will never not be true. We are constantly learning, evolving, and expanding. Therefore, we must constantly be adjusting ourselves to do better when we know better.
As you begin to fully embrace the above principles, the only logical conclusion is that if you want to live a long, healthy, happy life, you must focus your thoughts and intentions on longevity, well-being, and joy. For many, that means retraining and reframing some of your current thoughts and beliefs, and possibly letting go of some habitual limiting thoughts and beliefs. The good news is, there are many ways do this. The better news is, I'm here to help!
WELL-BEING FACILITATION
As a practitioner of Chinese medicine and Energy medicine for many years, I have come to realize that nothing outside of yourself can heal you. Well-being comes from within. There are many providers, tools, and techniques that can help to hasten the healing process, but the source of it is you. The programs I offer will get you more in tune with that inner stream of well-being, and remove the detritus that interferes with your ability to receive it.
